Anthony G. Tegnelia

Anthony G. (Tony) Tegnelia is President of Global Fleet Management Solutions for Ryder System, Inc., a FORTUNE 500® global transportation and supply chain management solutions company. In this position, he is responsible for the Company’s largest business segment, Fleet Management Solutions (FMS). The FMS business segment is a leading provider of truck leasing, rental and maintenance services with operations throughout the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. Mr. Tegnelia is also a member of Ryder’s Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to assuming his leadership role within FMS, Mr. Tegnelia was President of U.S. Supply Chain Solutions, where he was responsible for the development and leadership of all aspects of Ryder’s Supply Chain Solutions business segment in the United States. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Business Value Management, where he implemented successful strategies for improving margin on existing accounts, as well as identified value propositions for optimal profitability with new accounts within the Supply Chain Solutions business segment.
Mr. Tegnelia joined Ryder in 1977 as Manager of Business Planning and held various positions of increasing responsibility in the Finance division. He later served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company’s Integrated Logistics business segment. Following the consolidation of the Company’s financial functions in late 1999, he was named Senior Vice President of Field Finance, where he was responsible for global planning and pricing, as well as financial control and reporting functions of the Company’s worldwide field operations.
Prior to joining Ryder, Mr. Tegnelia held various positions in management at the corporate offices of United Brands Corporation.
Mr. Tegnelia earned a master of business administration degree in Finance from Boston College and a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration from Boston University. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the (U.S.) Truck Rental and Leasing Association (TRALA). He has also served on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Hospital, as treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Miami Youth Museum and as a cabinet member of the United Way of Dade County.
