Inbound Manufacturing Product Flow

Inbound Manufacturing Product Flow, also known as Materials Flow Management, is often combined with logistics management to provide an integrated solution. The objective of Inbound Manufacturing Product Flow is to create a seamless flow of materials delivered at the right time, in the right quantity and to the right manufacturing and/or assembling facility.

Flow From Suppliers to Logistic Optimization Centers
To optimize the entire supply flow, Ryder manages incoming shipments from suppliers based on the product requirement information sent by the manufacturer (Material release).

Flow From Logistics Optimization Center To Manufacturing:
Once supplier shipments are received, Ryder manages the flow of materials to the manufacturing/assembly facility to provide the right parts just in time for usage. Typically, a manufacturer sends its requirements through direct signals to the warehouse system. In return, the warehouse deploys the inventory and notifies the manufacturer of incoming orders. During this process, the warehouse may also provide value-added-services.
