The Ryder System Charitable Foundation is a private foundation (qualifying under section of 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code), established as a way for Ryder to help address social needs and improve the quality of life for people in communities in which we do business. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors comprised of Ryder corporate executive management and only makes grants to IRS certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations whose activities and programs align with Ryder’s core values, comply with the Company’s Principles of Business Conduct, and relate to one of four strategic pillars – expertise, innovation, safety or collaboration. The Ryder System Charitable Foundation does not accept funds from other organizations.
